Vision and Insight:

When I decided to pursue a career in graphic design, my first thought was that by doing so, I would be able to prepare for a variety of jobs in the creative design sector.

Software expertise, numerous design fields, branding, and motion graphics were the first things that came to mind as ways to accomplish it. In general, if you have a thorough understanding of these four elements, you can do practically all forms of graphic design-related tasks, as I have observed by occasionally browsing various internet websites.

Focus Area:

Television channel Branding

Why This Focus Area?

"Cinema and TV are always looking for some skilled professionals. However, it’s not easy to work on this segment. It requires years of experience and lots of hard-working" (Silveira, 2015).

As a child, my father used to tell me that if I can prepare myself for the hardest task, then I can do the easy tasks in no time. I still remember that, so I tried to prioritize television channel branding as my focus area.

Framework:

My intention from the beginning was that I would prepare myself for different industries, so I noticed that jobs in almost all types of design industries are very close together, including television channels.

I discovered the following after studying a number of websites and online resources: It is feasible to gain about 10 key skills by working on branding for a television channel as a motion graphics designer. If you have the skills, it will be possible to do almost all kinds of design-related work.

They are as follows:

"10 Essential Skills You Need as a Motion Graphic Designer

Graphic Design Skills

Traditional Art Skills

An Understanding of Animation

3D Design Skills

An Understanding of Typography

An Understanding of Color Theory

Creative Thinking

Technical Skills

Interpersonal Communication

Originality"

(Pluralsight. 2015).

In comparison, graphic design for film, more specifically motion graphics, is the most difficult design field.

That's why I thought that if I could work on branding only for television channels, then my general graphic design would be known along with motion graphics and all other types of design.

I need a portfolio as my initial step toward preparing for the design industry. In other words, branding for television channels will be the most beneficial to me in building a portfolio of excellent quality that is appropriate for all business sectors.

In light of this, I decided to direct my attention toward television channel branding.
